Our stop on the outskirts of Brisbane mark our last night of camping. We are not going to camp in Asia and we will not have a car so that means we need to shed all extra weight in the packs. The dome tent went around the world with Jack and I 20 years ago. It has made the 3 motorcycle trips we did across North America. Now it will be in the hands of the young French guy camping next to us, living out of his old van in Brisbane.
I like camping in that it has us outside all day, however, after the temperature dropped to 8C during the night, I will not miss sleeping (or trying to sleep) in the tent.
Some kookaburras were behind our tent and laughing during the day. Usually we will wake to their laughter around 5:30AM. The best bird call ever!
Loads of lorikeets.
We are only 20 minutes from the airport. Tomorrow is our flight to Darwin. Looking forward to some warmer weather.
