Hanoi

June 7

Our hotel has the best staff. Nate wandered down to the lobby one morning while Jack and I were out. Tom told him we had gone for a walk but had him sit down to wait.  He started feeling Nate's hair and told him how different his hair felt. Nate was thrilled when he styled his hair with pineapple scented hairspray. Looking good Nate!

The people have been so friendly. They are constantly trying to feed us and take care of anything we might need.

Dragon fruit is in season. A plate of it arrives every morning. Not especially sweet, but a mild flavor.

The streets provide us with lots to look at. Family vehicles look a little different in Vietnam.

The drivers are patient and there does not seem to be any road rage. The motorbikes flow fluidly around pedestrians and other motorists; like water around rocks.

The products for sale on the street continue to amaze (and revolt).

We all agreed it would take a long time to get used to living in a city like Hanoi.
