Phillip Island

April 18, 2017

The weather changed Wednesday to warm and sunny. Perfect day for a drive to Phillip Island, about 1.5 hours from Melbourne.
The Koala conservation area keeps Koalas in their natural habitat and helps ensure their survival on the island. Boardwalks brought us close to seeing these sleepy creatures.

Walking among the eucalyptus and gum trees.
Churchill Island is a part of Phillips Island – one of the oldest farms in Victoria. Set up now for tourists, sheep were sheared, dogs herded sheep, whips were cracked. Nate is determined to go home with a boomerang and a whip.

Enjoying a bit of the beach on Phillip Island before driving back to Melbourne.

Busy freeways led the way back to Melbourne, over many bridges, through a city sky line that looks amazing when lit up at night.
