Leaving Geelong

April 23, 2017

Before leaving Geelong, we thought we should see a bit of the waterfront. We all found new friends!

The boys were anxious to practice footy.

The sun was warm and Geelong has a beautiful waterfront.

On from Geelong to Lorne with a stop at Bells Beach.

Bells Beach had just finished hosting a world surf competition. There are only a few places in the world that can hold world competitions. This is one of them due to the enormous swells. Amateurs are advised not to surf here; experience required!

Gathered some sand for my collection.

The crews were busy packing up from the event.

A common sight along the beaches today. As the day before ANZAC day, Ashlee thought many Aussies would be "pulling a sickie" to make a four day weekend.

Another common sight.

Beach at Torquay, just before Bells Beach.
